Anybody else going to see this one? Rumor has it Kieth Richards has a bit part playing Jack Sparrow's father, and seeing that Johnny Depp modeled his character on Richards (for the most part), I'm thinking that seeing the two together ought to be a hoot.

Daughter #2 went at 10 last night.
Daughter #3 went at midnight.
I will take the kid sooner or later, when the frenzy subsides.

It's been panned in reviews here, but I guess everyone who has seen the first two will know what to expect and shouldn't be disappointed.

The next Potter film is out in 6-7 weeks, I'd be more inclined to see that, we don't really do cinema as it's freakily expensive in London.

Saw it last night. Rather enjoyed it all and all. And the Utah salt flats played well in a scene...albeit ironically that it was at the end of the world. LOL And yes Keith is there, though Depp is clearly the talent...kept waiting to see him snort something - but I think they kept all ashes well hidden from him when they were shooting! ;)

A good time though - I liked it better than the second. And as always, they left it open to a possible fourth movie. :)

We're thinking of going Sunday night - if I can get tickets in advance so we don't have to stand in line forever.

I've got to see how Jack Sparrow got out of the kraken!

We're waiting for the crowds to thin and for the wallet to thicken.

Which reminds me of something...

I think the video industry is missing a big opportunity. With movies such as this, which you know are going to be hot, and you know are going to sell, why not offer a pre-buy of the video to those who see it in the theater? A little discount would help folks feel better about paying such horrendous prices for the big screen rather than waiting for them to come out on vid, and I know the sales would be big.
