Dale on Dale: A Post by Dale Wisely

Post by Dale »

Hey.

I'm not posting much these days, or even reading the board much, so I just wanted to say "hey" to everybody (hey) and thank the moderators for their continued dedication to the board.

I've started my new job at Mountain Brook Schools about 7 weeks ago, I guess. (Come visit my departments' website at:

http://mtnbrook.in10sity.net/

and click on "Student Services" on the left.)

I've been very busy--don't have time to get on the board during the day and am pretty wiped out at night. I think it'll always be a busy job, but I'm especially busy because everything is new and it seems that July-September is a particularly busy time of the year for my particular job.

I'm enjoying it, though. Working with really nice people in a very well-run and well-funded school system. It's pretty invigorating work and I feel like I'm contributing.

So, there you go. I'll keep you all posted. Thanks for being my e-pals.

Well, hey. Thanks for the update. I'm glad the job is going well and that your co-workers are nice people. I'm sure things will settle down a bit, or not. But if you are enjoying it, then what the heck.

Not too much going on here. Tonight it's been mainly psycho raccoons and pet planaria and some weird mutant potato Steve Shaw grew. We're a fine bunch, we really are .

Best wishes.

I didn't know there was such a thing anymore. Best wishes for your continued success and job satisfaction, I'd have been surprised if you weren't making a contribution, even in less favourable circumstances.

Glad the job is working. The moderators run this place with an iron fist so you have nothing to worry about. That Nano is a regular Captain Bligh. There've been some floggings and knicker twistings but we're learning.

Geez, just running the "Harassment Prevention and Intervention" program would be a full-time job! Good to hear from you, Dale.

Glad to know you're happy in the place you find yourself in, good on you sir. May it continue to be what you hoped it would be. You'll make a big and positive difference to those kids, of this I am certain!

Congratulations and it is good to here from and about your new job Dale. Like you I haven't been able to spend much time on the forums either, I to having started a new job at the library, I am now the Information System Specialists for our libraries, and I spend all day solving problems, that I am wiped at night or no time during the day to come here.

Why today? I'm waiting to go into a meeting at 10:30 and I have done all I can do to prepare for it.

All the best to you!

Good to hear from you!

You have many many friends in this community which you created for us--we are all hoping for you that your new job continues well and that your life is good.

Every now and again, pick up a whistle, remember you have so many friends you don't have time to count that high, and smile. :)

You'll be happy to know that in your absence we've successfuly acheived world domination and opened a highly successful chain of coffee shops as a legitimate cover for your evil empire. :P

You never did say, "Thank you, sir, may I have another?" And did I make you pay for that? Have a mind to my gracious and tender mercies. Now straighten up that leash and go lie down by your dish.

Good on you, Dale.

Still blowin' away like a good one I hope? So tell me, how have you managed to incorporate whistle playing into the education system? :D
