Walden

Post by peeplj »

Please forgive me if this is a duplicate post--I looked and didn't see anything before I posted.

I have heard that our friend Aaron Walden, "Walden" here on the Chiffboard, is critically ill and in ICU in the hospital. There has been some sort of medical emergency.

You know what to do--good thoughts, healing vibes, prayers...whatever you do to invoke whatever might can help.

I am sorry I don't have more information.

Walden is a good friend and a man I have respected for many years.

I sure hope he'll be ok. The world is a much better place with him in it.

Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

Sorry to hear it. My best wishes to Walden.

Any more word, Peeps? Is there a contact person or address for get-well wishes?

I have not been able to find anything else out of a nature that it could be shared here.

What little I do know, does not sound very good.

Please keep Aaron in your thoughts.

There are Facebook posts on his page by relatives, providing updates, but they are grim.

Approved by Dale and the Mods (see CCCP Rule #19).

Also please note:

1. Contact the fundraiser (Mike Arthurs) or Gofundme directly if you have questions about the solicitation.
2. Gofundme deducts a fee of approximately 8% from all donations made.

Our thoughts go out to Aaron for a speedy recovery.

If you check the gofundme site, it has been updated with more specific information about Aaron's condition.

It is not good. Please keep him in your thoughts, and also his family.

This is just heart-breaking.

The effort to help out Walden's family financially has pretty much reached its goal and it looks to me that is largely due to C&F people. My thanks to everyone who contributed and who have kept Walden in your thoughts and/or prayers. He's been an institution around here from the beginning and is a fine man. Thanks to James and Jerry for the thread and updates.

Tell us something.: I'm a fiddler and, latterly, a fluter. I love the flute. I wish I'd always played it. I love the whistle as well. I'm blessed in having really lovely instruments for all of my musical interests.

I see the gofundme site says that Aaron is "still in ICU". That was a day ago. I'd never heard of his condition before, but from what I've read about it since, if he's still in ICU, that might be good news. I hope so.

The original funding goal has been met. Donations are still being accepted for an increased goal.

No further health status updates at this time.
