You can also point out that people are not snakes (or raptors, or whatever).emmline wrote:Well, actually you can, if you want to. You just have to accept that people will point out what they see as inconsistencies. I find it easier to make what seem to me to be the most tolerable choices and accept that my views are going to at times be paradoxical. This would be problematic if I insisted that I stood for the moral high road.Lambchop wrote: You cannot profess to be vegetarian because it is wrong to kill animals for food, while seeking out pets which require killing animals for their food.

Excellent! You're on your way to gourmet!Chef djm wrote: My grocery store, it turns out, does have both the jars of paste and the cans of sauce. Not a big selection, and they probably won't stay in stock, but at least I know more about it than the people who work there.
I'm enjoying a nice meal of green beans, yellow beans, onions, and carrots in Patak's lemon cilantro tikka masala sauce. Cooking the veg. and tossing on a dollop of sauce worked nicely.

I'm not there yet.
What I want to know is when did they start hiring pre-teens as police officers?
I talked with an officer the other day and I swear he was no older than 12!
