Games for the holiday.

Post by I.D.10-t »

Looking for some games that would be appropriate for us and in-laws for over the vacation. Trying to avoid stuff like "Cards Against Humanity". Wouldn't mind normal card games but I find those at times anti social (no table talk etc.)

You could try the Festivus Feats of Strength.

I'm partial to the original floor wrestling myself, but you might opt for a tickle fight instead. Whether or not these are antisocial is part of the great Mystery of Festivus. But they're bound to generate some table talk, not to mention screaming and colorful language.

My Brothers and I owned every board game worth owning. The game Masterpiece requires that only one person really know the rules. Everyone else just rolls the dice and moves around the board. It's artsy fartsy too. We usually select this game when folks don't know how to play other games. The forgeries add some excitement and the game usually ends in about 45 minutes.

Munchkin is fun. It's a hilarious parody of those fantasy card games. The table talk is potentially nasty though.

Depending on the participants, this can be hilarious. If they're really inhibited, it'll fizzle
