New to the community
Hello, everyone. I am Whistlearcher and I am new to this community. The reason behind my user name is that I am a whistler and an archer at the same time. In between playing my Clarkes and Feadogs, I also shoot the traditional longbow. I hope I will be a good contributor to our forum. I also wish to learn more about the traditional music we all love, and no one, I think, is ever expert enough to stop learning. Take care, everyone, until next time.

There's and old Irish saying that says pretty much anything you want it to.

Re: New to the community
Thanks for the welcome, folks. Actually, I find archery and whistling complementary. Archery, like all shooting sports, requires discipline and technique with breathing. Whistling requires no less. I have a Clarke Black D that requires good breath technique, and my experience as an archer helps. An added plus is that after a good day's shooting at the field range, a few traditional tunes on the whistle rounds up the day very well.
Re: New to the community
there's a couple o' other whistlin' archers that'll show up eventually.
I think that most of 'em have come to using arrows 'cause of the cost. YMMV

It's dizzying, the possibilities. Ashes, Ashes all fall down.
