CP: Switzerland: Basler Tattoo and workshops

Post by Goldie »

Hello and good morning,

we will be in Basel from the 17th to the 19th (Fr to Sun).... if you are in the area and are interested, come and meet with us at Music Hug where we will have a small informational stand showing some whistles.

Also maybe someone is interested in a small whistle or guitar workshop, each of approx. 2 hours. These are organised by Music Hug, the whistle teacher is Ross Ainsley and the guitar teacher is Sam Moor. Information on the dates and fee for the workshop you can get from Sam via e-mail samuel.moor(at)musikhug.ch or phone (0041)(0) 61 272 33 93.

The Guitar workshop takes place on Thursday, 16th of July at 20.00 h and the Whistle workshop on Friday, 17th of July also at 20.00 h. There is a limit to the people who can attend but also a limit for the workshops to take place I believe. First come first serve when it comes to have a place. The fee per workshop is Fr. 20.--. You have to bring your own instruments, although you can also buy one at Music Hug if needed.

I have not been at a Tattoo yet but seen an impressive report about last years Tattoo in Edinburgh, if Basel is only a "tiny small brother" I think it is going to be pretty exciting and look very much forward to it.

Maybe see you next week's weekend....
Greetings from Germany
Brigitte

I enjoyed listening to what I could listen to. My internet connection is a bit dodgy. Nice music. Thanks and good luck.

Apart from being an amazing whistler, you should check out Ross' piping skills. Get an ear-full here:

I've got his album Partners in Crime (track 4 and 5 on the myspace thingy)
