Where's my avatar? (Never mind..found the link to re-submit)

Post by Ballyshannon »

Not that it's a huge deal but I see that most user avatars are still there after the upgrade but mine's gone...with no way to re-enable it unless I'm missing something. :-?

I re-uploaded mine. I'm not sure the avatars made the trip. I'll see what I can find out.

Mine's still there and I don't see anyone else's missing. Must have got it figured out.

THANKS!!

Mine got scraped off in Duluth. Or somewhere. Must not have heard the fasten seatbelt alert. I uploaded a new and improved one.

Got it! The avatar feature is now in a place where I overlooked it. It used to be in an obvious place at the bottom of the profile page, but it's now included with a listing of other features on the Profile page. Must be my aging eyes.

BTW, in this particular post, the only avatars I'm seeing are mine and Katie's. Dale and emmline, I'm not seeing yours.

I see everyone's. And I saw one next to everyone earlier, too.

How mysterious. :-?

99% of avatars moved fine. The remaining 1% should be there now, but weren't there between this morning and a few minutes ago. Sorry about that.

(Boring details: I'd done a test run of the migration a couple weeks ago, and when I went to do the real migration on Friday, I brought over the current database but not the current avatar files, so any avatars that had been changed between the dry run and the real migration didn't get copied.)

...and I was so impressed that so many people had managed to reinstate their avatars

I've seen that trick done before

Yeah, well...I reloaded last night, and by this morning it had fallen off again. I'm getting perturbed.
