Tell us something.: I love Irish music and I love to play the whistle! I met Dale and now he is the main man of whistlers. I can't wait to get back on the road again as this coronavirus is the worst!

Post by ctladies »

Hello Whistlers of the World and especially Our Main Man Dale!!

I have been getting a number of emails about tour dates from some of you, so I figured I'd let you know what our next couple of months look like.

Thanks again and hope to meet you along the road!
As always, "KEEP WHISTLING"
Joanie Madden

No plans for Hawaii either.

Please put the Islands on your itinerary sometime. Folks will love you, and it's not a bad place to visit.

I do not feel obliged to believe that that same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use.

Hey Joanie, splendid work at Bromyard festival last month!! It's a treat to have you across the pond, and it's a shame that some of the Brits seemed to have missed you!

There's hope. They are coming to Alaska in February. If interior Alaska in February* doesn't make you want to hop on a plane for Hawaii, nothing will.

*Well, January would actually be even more effective, but February should do the trick. SOMEDAY I'll make it to Hawaii, and it's going to be in Jan. or Feb.
ICE JAM: "dam" good music that won't leave you cold. Check out our CD at http://cdbaby.com/cd/icejam

I hadn't noticed this until you pointed it out. Maybe there really is hope.

We may have to see if we've got enough sky-miles to go to Alaska in February and see them there. Seriously. My wife won't be thrilled with the idea of heading to Alaska at that time of year, but maybe I can convince her that we need to escape the rainy season for a bit -- if only for the fact that we'll appreciate Hawaii even more after.

Sore point Parkwood - I was supposed to have been stewarding at Bromyard but managed to get myself sick instead. I hear it was a bit of a mudbath but no doubt Joanie et al made it worthwhile

Sorry to go off topic - but here goes:

Joanie - did you ever receive the whistle I sent you about a year ago?

Not knowing what happened to it is sending my curiosity into overdrive.

(Edited: Many thanks for your PM Joanie - the previous messages did not get through - I blame my previous ISP for that. Curiosity is calm once more - I thank you for that :) )

My wife and I went to the Cerritos, CA performance last night. For those of you who have tickets down the schedule, you're in for a real treat.

Great performances by Joanie and the Ladies, Maura O'Connell, Liz Carroll, and a bunch of other featured performers!
