Ozwhistles.com down?
Is anyone else able to access www.ozwhistles.com ?
I've been unable to reach the website for weeks. My local DNS server has no record. Other servers return 67.19.218.194 as the website IP, but it's unreachable from here. The IP resolves to nebula.websiteactive.com, and that's unreachable, too. A traceroute gets as far as a router at theplanet.com, then chokes.
Mitch ... ?

OK, it must be a problem with my ISP. Thank you all!

Re: Ozwhistles.com down?
the very next jump from theplanet.com is the nebula.websiteactive.com, which is where OzWhistles appears to be hosted.MTGuru wrote:Is anyone else able to access www.ozwhistles.com ?

No, I just miss seeing the lovely pictures of Stick and Goat.larrym wrote:Shopping for a new whistle???
I think the Oz whistles line is still in the "beta" stage, and not quite yet ready for general sale with set pricing.Franz wrote:Your link works fine for me, but I couldn't find his new whilstles listed anywhere on his site!!
Wish me luck trying to get Road Runner to resolve their DNS problem. "Please reboot your computer and modem, then reinstall Windows ..."Wanderer wrote:Must be a problem with your isp.

Here's a link to the Vambrace pricing etc. I have an order in so I believe Mitch is out of the beta stage.

Yah ... the website.
I'm hanging in there with the old site.
After about a year of trying to get "Zencart" to behave like a decent website, we gave up. All that just to enable credit card transactions - learning PHP, writing inventory integration routines, developing business processes, multi currency and everything ... started to wonder which was the dog and which was the tail! It would have been a different story in the old days when computers were my passion. These days, I'm more inclined to practice on my whistle or go into the workshop and get covered in sawdust!
I'll be investing in a simple shopping cart thingy from my bank when time allows. In the mean time, I can take card transations via email (Master card and Visa) - all details secure and privacy assured.
One thing I have noticed - It seems that Stick has worked out how to hack the site! I do hope he's not wrecked anything! I think he's been taking technical advice from his "IT Department" (Which is just a goon that he's put a white dustcoat on). Being a stick, he can't type real quick and it's easy to hear him plunking away on the keyboard late at night - I think I can stay a few steps ahead. So far, it appears he's only been able to get into his own page in the "Shop" section, but I'm keeping an eye on things.
(Edited to say: The "Vambrace" whistles might never go into the shop page of the website. I had a bit of a struggle with that - the main difference being that I'm not "retailing" them - I'm "making" them - that's a whole different ball-game. The idea of making whistles for a store called "Oz Whistles" seems like inventing a middle-man for no good purpose. It would also serve to limit the offering - so "Vambrace" will remain a direct maker-to-musician thing for now).

I couldn't get to Oz from my machine a week or two ago. Now I can
At work I have 2 machines. One is on our domain and one is on a seperate network.
I can get to Oz on the machine that's on our domain but i can't from the one that's on a seperate network.
Must be the route it takes to get there that might be down somewhere?
