There's an uilleann piper in Israel who is also a member of this forum. He goes by the name nadav. Here's a recent thread he started:

Hi Bothrops,
I've had a couple business trips to Israel over the past 2 years, and I stayed in the hotels near the beach in Tel Aviv. A quick walk from there is a pub called Molly Blooms where I would go to get my Guinness and hamburger fix when I needed a break from hummus. The only live music I heard there was a fiddle and guitar on one night.
Here's the web-site.

Have fun.

P.S. You might want to check in with a board member named "Flanum" who spent some time living in Israel. He had good ideas for me when I went on my first trip there.
