I was under the impression that he never had a web site.

Erle's Black Diamond line indeed had a website at the domain http://www.bdwhistles.com/

It appears to be "reserved" for another customer. So I guess the only way to get the definitive answer is to e-mail Mr. Bartlett himself.

Erle's fine,

I just got a batch of whistles from him a few days ago. He was responding to emails as well just lately. I'd guess his domain expired and he hasn't gotten around to renewing it.

He's been known to pop in here when his whistles are being discussed. He has great customer service and dedication to his product. Always a gentleman. If nothing else you could always send him a PM which would notify him by email.

I just gave Erle a call - he was in his workshop making whistles and couldn't take my call.

I believe he actually closed that website a few days ago. I'm sure he'll let us know when he gets a chance.
All the best!

Rumours of my demise are are prema..eeh..aah..ooh..aaagh!
Seriously though, I'll use the streakers defence for my website; "It seemed like a good idea at the time...", and at the time it probably was. Over time, and with consideration, my attachment with the actual site had become just a link to my credit card, and I did not have any input to the site otherwise. I hope in the future I can do something which can reflect changes that are happening in the workshop on a continuing basis. I'm very happy with the whistles and other instruments that I'm making at the moment and hope I can show off some of that!
Cheers, Erle.
So good it has to be a SYN!
