My big scratch

Post by squeezebox99 »

I went whistle-crazy and bought a Herbison Low D, an Alba high D, a Hoover G, a O'Brien Rover in C and a high D weasel.

I think I win in the itch department - who knew so many whistles could add up so quickly? Still - was less than I sold my concertina for - and way more fun.

The rover came today. What a COOL whistle. I thought the alba High D was nice but this one has a brighter little tone. Like a dixon but much easier to play - pushes back more.
Hooray for Mr. O'Brien!!

Now I'm sorry I didn't get other body tunings. boo hoo. Oh well. There is always next year.

Hey, Squeezebox. That's quite the scratch there. The sort of scratch I'd considered enjoying over the next... fifty years or so.

Congrats on such an enjoyable sounding batch, I hope it serves you well. Any other praise for the Delrin Rover? I've been trying to decide between delrin or blackwood myself.

Cheers,

Matt

That does appear to be part of the temporal displacement machine in the background :D
