Hi Mitch - pm sent re: Euro-tour - me too please! Very pretty whistles!
I respect people's privilege to hold their beliefs, whatever those may be (within reason), but respect the beliefs themselves? You gotta be kidding!

The EU tour list is now:
Phil/Tony
Dogboy
Theo
jemtheflute
breqwas
Next?
BTW - breqwas has asked to stay at the end of the line due to the pecadillos of postage in his region - I'm happy to tweak the list to accomodate postal constraints within Europe - please advise if needs (email please).
The US tour:
Aanvil should recieve #7804 within a week or so - current list is:
Aanvil
Izzarina
Steamwalker
Tommy
MTGuru (MT might be able to combine with Aanvil or Steamwalker)
Tommy
Dyersituations
Next?
P.S. the blackwood/sterling numbers and the Kwila are still available for sale - please email for details if you are interested ( mitch at ozwhistles dot com).

Mitch will confirm this, but there are two lists in this one thread - one non-tuneable from the spring, and one just forming for the tunable version. There looks to also be a EU tour forming as well.

You are next on the list for the non-tunable tour, followed by Carey. After that, #7 non-tunable gets raffled for a good cause.sweet potato wrote:Hi! I thought I was still on this list. From last spring's post:

I would still very much like to participate.
Thanks, Mitch.

Lovely "Old #07"
I have had the pleasure of sharing company with this lovely wooden whistle for the past couple of weeks. Others earlier in this thread have described its intonation (very good), volume (louder than my Burke brass, quieter than my Overton), slightly reedy yet very sweet tone, and overall great responsiveness. The bell tone and low E are solid, and the second octave I found to be nicely balanced. The wood (rose alder) is gorgeous to look at and to hold. There are several pictures posted early on in this thread. This is an excellent whistle at a reasonable price. I am eager to try out the tunable model, although this non-tunable was right on in both warm and chilly rooms and I was able to play in tune with several other musicians with no difficulty. I think one of Mitch's whistles will be my next....
Absolutely gorgeous. Thanks again to Mitch for his art and generosity.

Understood. I just thought it would be really funny if the first person on the tour list ended up buying the whistle outright such as the last whistle Mitch sent out. Every whistle tour would end as soon as it began.Aanvil wrote:LOL,Steamwalker wrote:Hope Aanvil didn't hijacked another Oz whistle!Aanvil wrote:Mitch please check your PMs.
Soon to be much to your surprise... quite the opposite.
Well I'm a true believer in the "Touring" system we have here. Even if I have been a little tardy on an occasion.Steamwalker wrote:Understood. I don't think I would ever buy and instrument out from under everyone. Its not cricket and I think defeats the entire purpose for doing these things.
You will notice that I didn't say would never.
There very well may be an Oz whistle in my personal future.
I might be lured with a cocus or blackwood.
Aanvil
