It would help if the form gave some sort of clue as to which field it thought you had entered incorrectly.
Three email address fields seems excessive.
The colours are unsympathetic and the typeface threatening and paranoid.
I don't want your whistle any more.

- Tell us something.: I am in my 70s and played music since fourth grade. Paid gigs include everything starting with church solos in 4th grade, nightclubs starting 9th grade, and worship ministry. Had a 29 year career teaching high school music both choral and instrumental. I've played several instruments starting with trumpet as my main ax. I added flute, sax and keys after college. Early 2000s whistles were added to my arsenal. I'm back to playing again after a 5 year hiatus.

Sort of makes you wonder if they're really giving away a whistle or just harvesting email addresses. Hmmm...
...you don't think you'll win, because you don't think that you successfully entered...but, if baiting the whistle community was your goal and your form was designed to ask for a valid email address several times, you're done. Why bother with the whistle?
Maybe the server is busy or the form is poorly written. Yeah, probably that's it.

Well, Stacey's forum has been running for some time now, so I doubt the ulterior motive is to harvest e-mail addresses or harrass the C&F crowd -- though I appreciate a good conspiracy theory.
I suspect the trouble stems from an oddly configured system. I can't recall exactly what problems I encountered, but I vaguely remember getting to the page where I could seemingly create a user account, and then clicking a "submit" button like mad, only to be returned to the same page (with no account created).
Never submit!
Or something.
Walt

If we didn't already know Stacey, that might be a worry ... but I don't think Stacey's into that kind of foolishness.Bridges-PdP wrote:Sort of makes you wonder if they're really giving away a whistle or just harvesting email addresses. Hmmm...
