My People I have returned!

Post by KDMARTINKY »

Hello all:

After a short nip with the Uilleann pipes (a very humbling short experience) I have returned to you...the whistling community. With all my whistles (my trusty LBW and my precious Chieftain Gold Low D) in hand I will once again be in your company.

On a serious note I just didn't have the time to truely dedicate to the pipes as I presumed I might have...actually kinda of sad actually because I love the sound so.

I have returned from my journey on the "darkside" a little lighter in the pocket, but wiser all the same.... :)

Tell us something.: I've been with Chiff and Fipple since shortly after I bought my first low D. I've learned loads from this community, and I intend to continue to learn and contribute. Many thanks to Dale and everyone who makes this site happen.

Tell us something.: Longtime member of Chiff and Fipple. I own/have owned more whistles than a person should, I think. But I’m not complaining.

Welcome back. (You realize, of course, that what we also all really miss are the great whistle sales you used to post. :) )

Will there be a pipe sale now? Or a kilt?

Tell us something.: Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Part of what I love about celtic/folk style music is the sound of a handful of handmade instruments that remind me of simpler times.

You say that, but I've been considering trying a recorder :o :o :o does it get more worrying than that? I know I will be excommunicated from Chiff & Fipple land, but hey, live dangerously I say.

Pssst!.... c'mere.... ... I've noted that there are quite a few 'closet' r*c*rd*r folks here, so if you do fall to the temptation, there are few who can really give you much stuff about it... but those few have mojo that is strong ... so gather your chi!
