In this context, does, "for solo play" mean, "non-tunable"?

Thanks.

Lookin at Erik Tullberg's website, I think it means "quiet"...He has 3 types..
Soliloquy, session, and oomph.

This whistle is designed for soft solo play (tested on my napping 2 year old). It also works well with quieter accompaniment such as guitar or dulcimer. Despite its lower volume it maintains a round pleasant sound. Also good for not standing out in a session (though beware - you can still be heard).

Unfortunately, I already called dibs on this particular whistle :D

Bumping it up for a poor, starving student...

I remember that Macacauba whistle well-- it's gorgeous, dark red wood with a very high shine and a sort of iridescence to the grain. Very pretty stuff and I don't have any more of it, FWIW. Knowing Andrea, it's been well cared for. I'm tempted to buy it back myself, but I kinda have enough wooden D whistles...

Sorry for being so tardy with a reply to the questions. The Dixon is a soprano D. It has sold however.

I still have the Busman in Macacuba wood and the Whitney if there are any takers. Both fine whistles.
