Project Suggestion for Dale

Post by KDMARTINKY »

I just read the march 2005 C&F newsletter and noticed Dale had listed the concert dates for Flook. I am gald to see they are going to be in St. Louis in May 2005.

Anyway I thought that it would be a great project for Dale (who has all kinds of time on his hands) if he could set up a section on this forum listing concert dates. Just think if you needed to know a date and instead of looking up the bands site, you could log on to C & F and see all the dates of several bands.

Just a thought....what do you all think? Should Dale consider this undertaking?

It would be nice but only if someone gathered all the information for him.

With all that down time, he should probably also attend and give reviews for those of us unable to attend.. :D

While still a newbie, I'd be willing to volunteer some time on a regular basis to search for concert dates/times/venues and post them either via email/PM/post -

I think it's a great idea. We could tell him which bands we are interested in and then he could serve as a national repository for the tour schedules of all the groups we were interested in----I don't think we need limit it to Irish music. Maybe he could even get into setting up tours to places that don't get much music---like Iowa--you know, he could just mention to the bands that there were some dates open there. Oh, this is great, I'm so excited!

It's an interesting idea. Probably the most workable approach would be a forum--kind of like the City Guide, or maybe even incorporated into the city guide. That way, forum members could post info from their own locales. No extra workf or me, unless people start posting nasty messages about the bands.

Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

Sorry gang, some people thought I was serious. My fine print was a little too fine I guess.
