Yea, that has me a bit concerned as well. Don't really like the design using cork. Too much room for error/failure....which happened with my first Pro D. I left it attached for a few days (not used to whistles that require disassembly after each use) and the joint failed. Walt was kind enough to replace it, but even though the joint is obviously tight on the new one, it still has a lot of play when moved in any direction. Makes me nervous, especially after that first experience. I much prefer a rigid joint design like Burke, Sindt, Thin Weasel, etc, so you don't have to worry about disassembling after each use.
