I have just received my Paul Busman Blackwood High D mmmmmmmmmm...Blackwood
What a gem of a whistle,is there a Busman club I can join and we can all talk Busman and go mmmmmmmmmmmmm.
I love the fact that it will take some playing in and oiling care,I have a Swaine and 2 Lehart flutes ,so this will join the Blackwood club and take pride of place in the studio.
But seriously,if you want and truly great whistle in high D go for a Busman, they are rich in tone and a joy to look at with total attention to detail.
I can see many happy hours playing it in.
I'll put a clip of it up very soon.
I know they are not cheap but I think they are WELL worth the investment.
This is a whistle to grow old with.
I will definatety use this whistle on my current CD.
What a great yuletide pressy.
Also I go a lesson as a microlite pilot for yuletide pressy as well.should be interesting.

The Busman
I think it would be a bit of a Busmans Holiday for me to give a review.
Needless to say that I'll be giving it to Tony Hinnigan,an ardent Abell player and get a review from him this thursday and will twist his arm to post while he is in the studio.

I'll gladly join your Busman whistle fan club. I don't have one in blackwood, but I have two of Paul's wonderful whistles (bird's-eye maple and delrin). And, assuming the wood we sent cooperates, my dad and I will each have a new Busman whistle in a few weeks. Mmmmmmmm...
Cheers,
John

it was worth it, but......sniff..... I miss my Busman
Awww! A real-life, musical version of The Gift of the Magi... giving up a cherished posession in order to buy something for a beloved. That is so very sweet!!!! I'm sure your wife loved you for it, didymus.
