So, what did I miss?

Post by fatveg »

Well, it's been a while. About seven months to be precise. I've been away form this board, but don't take it personally, I've been away from every board. Been a little pre-occupied with setting up my new business (<a href="http://www.paramktg.com" target="_blank">Parametric</a> -- don't worry, this isn't a commercial post, I doubt anyone on this board would be interested in what we do).

Anyway, despite the fact you guys probably don't even remember me, I wanted to say 'Hi', 'Happy New Year', 'May you be well and happy' and all that.

New year res for me is that I get more balance in my life. Which means PLAYING WHISTLE MORE! (Note: I didn't say Playing More Whistles! Honest!).

Metta,

Someone, in a recent post, was just wondering about you the other day. How could we forget?

Welcome back! I remember you. In the last seven months I got engaged, pregnant (on purpose) and married, in that order.

Still playing instruments.

I don't remember you. Oh, wait... hold on. Aren't you by any chance the fat vegetarian? I seem to remember that you didn't eat meat and had weight issues. :)

Welcome back. How's the car running these days?

Tell us something.: I play whistles. I sell whistles. This seems just a BIT excessive to the cause. A sentence or two is WAY less than 100 characters.

I don't have a dang clue who you are. I was not even aware of Irish whisles, let alone this site, 7 months ago. Maybe that is way, you think?

Anyway, nice to meat :o you!

OK, I just broke down and looked up "togatos" in my Latin dictionary.

It says it can mean either "Romans" or "prostitutes."

Tell us something.: You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free

Heya Veg,

'bout the only thing that's safe for me to comment on is that you, in all likelihood now have more whistles than I do. I'm down to a half dozen or so, how's that for cutting back?

Welcome back.

Err, lets go for 'Men in Togas' shall we?

Vah! Denuone Latine loquebar? Me ineptum. Interdum modo elabitur.

He, thanks.

Wow things really have changed! I have 6 myself, so we're evens.
I'm sure Jessie is keeping up her side though! (After all, she's 'whistling for two' now!).

Whoa! This is pretty hard for me. I am only up to Chapter 13 in Wheelock's..

I think you asked me if I want to speak Latin? Wish I could.... I'll soon be taking my second Latin class, so maybe then I'll be able to talk the lingua Romana. :) Where did you learn your Latin?

I never knew you before, but welcome back!
