I believe I'm coming under attack by someones computer. I keep getting mailings, 6 a day, from a Carrol Cadden. They come with attachments and the subject lines are all different. I haven't opened any of them and have set my computer to block them. I think someones computer has been compromised with a virus and is sending this out automatically. But I'd like to know who's computer this is and how did I get in her address book.
Do any of you know a Carrol Cadden?

It certainly sounds like this carrol person has a computer virus, but to be honest, those mailings could be coming from just about anywhere. If you've blocked them, I wouldn't worry about it overly much. It may just be spam and nothing more, in which case there's little to do about it besides trying to block it.
If you really care about it, you can probably get your ISP to track the IP number the mailings.

I guess I kinda worry about this gal and her computer. I'd hate not knowing that my computer was responsible for crashing someone elses and maybe Carrol would like to know.

This has happened to me and others where somebody has power-spammed with dozens of emails (upwards of 100 in some instances). Block them and notify an administrator.
Maybe this Carol is innocent and is one of those people who sends annoying forwards to as many people as she can and somehow got your email from a friend of a friend kind of situation. Either way, blocking them is the best solution.
Cheers,
Aaron

Saturday I received 43 messages from Carrol. Without opening an attachment I checked her email address and sent her a message asking who she was and did she know what her computer was up to?
I didn't get a reply but I haven't had anymore emails. I hope her computer didn't up and crash.
Why do people have to dream up crap like this to pass around.
