Typing ABC into my ABC Transcription Tools using a WARBL

Post by eskin »

You can now easily enter ABC into my ABC Transcription Tools using a WARBL USB wind controller.

Full details and WARBL configuration information is available in the User Guide:

Additionally, I’ve mapped many keys in the C,, - B,, range (MIDI notes 36-47) to insert common ABC macros:

36: Space
37: Backspace
38: |
39: /
40: 2
41: 3
42: 4
43: (3
44: |:
45: :|
46: ||
47: |]

so if you are using an actual MIDI keyboard, you can just hit keys in that lower octave to insert the timing, barline variants, etc.

The WARBL has only three buttons, so I mapped them to space, bar line, and backspace.

Another WARBL demo, this one entering the notes for "The Lark in the Morning" as quickly as possible, then afterwards fixing mistakes, adding spaces, bar lines, note timing, etc.
