Low whistle question.....

Post by HampshireWhistler »

If I had my druthers, I'd be buying a Burke low D but right now my money tree is out of season. If I was to make a low D....how would I go about it? Resources? Materials? Etc...Thanks in advance to anyone who could help with some advise on how to get started. :)

search the forum for "low tech whistles". There's been several posts, with links, regarding the subject. There you can find diagrams, photos, and precise measurments to help you achieve your goal(with minimal pocket damage).

Low tech pvc whistle in 5 minutes.

Also have a go at making a koncovka.
I made one for an autistic 12 year old recently,
and it's now a big favourite with him.
It's become a way for him to play an instrument and relate to
other things, so mom and dad think it's good too,
although the neighbours might have a differing opinion.
No whistles were harmed in the transmission of this communication.
