Low D Whistle losing its sound?
I recently read that someone has a Dixon Low D Whistle and it is losing its sound. I didn't know a whistle can lose its sound. Any comments. Can a whistle lose its sound?

Re: Low D Whistle losing its sound?
When you say losing its sound, does it sound clogged/unclear when played? If that's the case give it a good clean and it'll be back to normal. I had that problem with my MK and a good rinse, cotton swab to clean out any bits returned it to a normal volume. A bit more clarity and we might be able to pin point the problem.

Sounds like a bit of schmutz in the windway.

Some people are like a Slinky... not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you shove them down the stairs.

Maybe you've been playing too much schmaltz?
