Here in the Empire, Circuit City is usually very good at taking stuff back without asking questions.

It looks bad. Go careful with this one. Why would he buy it for $1500 and sell for $135? This could easily be a scam.

What i tried to say up there was that it didn't seem to me that Dale locked that other thread in order to suppress dissent, but it seemed to me that he did it in order to truncate a discussion that was being overly critical of someone who didn't have the means to defend himself. But, i'm no mind rea...

I think it went like this: It really bothers me all the ganging up on Andrew now that he is not here to defend him self. Andrew had a lot to say about flutes, with all the sarcasm and other remarks he make, I still feel that it was very beneficial to have him on board. Silencing someone up is not an...

I think Angela got the real prize. Or Amar, if that Vietnam ticket came through in priceline.com.

Meanwhile, the pink Overton has now been moved to the secret lair of whistle collector and enthusiast, "Doctor" Bloomfield.

I used to be able to fly. Not very high, but when my feet were tired, I'd just let them dangle while I floated along, a few inches above the ground, at a fast walking speed. This took no effort at all. I knew I shouldn't really do it, so I was very careful to never let anyone see me while I was hov...

Paul Thomas: no problem. I think Switched On Bach was one of the great albums of whatever decade it was that it was on. I don't normally go for syntethised music, but i thought it was brilliant. I think in the old days of patch cables, ADSR, Moog, Arp, etc, syntesis was cool, but now it got to the p...

Re: What better music is there.....

DaleWisely wrote:(what better music is there) than Bach's Goldberg Variations?
That's easy. The Bm flute suite has flute in it, which automatically makes it much better than the Goldberg variations.

The Brandenburg concertos are good too, especially when played by Wendy Carlos.
