FS: Cocuswood 8 key flute with new head joint

Hi everyone, A recent restoration; the head joint was not salvagable, due to someone trying to improve the embouchure hole... I decided to make the new head unlined, and make the chimney a little deeper, the original had a thinned head, with a very low chimney. The results were a nice tone! My embou...

Antique Cocuswood 8 key flute with new head joint

I am selling a anon. unstamped R&R design antique flute with nickel rings and keys, plays down to C clear strong tone. I think might have been made in Wylde's shop, I have seen enough of them over the years, has the same design foot. I made a new cocuswood unlined head joint for it, giving it a ...

Re: Current value of nice Rudall 8 keys

Sounds interesting Casey! Sometime if you could measure the starting bore in the upper section, some of the RRC flute were 19mm at the start of the bore. I am working on one right now, where I have to replace the upper section. But yours sounds pretty custom, with the cut outs, Nicholson's Improved ...

8 key Wallis cylindrical flute

I am selling a flute made in the late 19 century, cocuswood and 8 nickel keys. The flute has a cylindrical bore rather then conical, in very good 440hz tuning with the French hidden slide pulled out about 3/8”. All the keys function well, it was restored a couple of years ago, a repaired lower tenon...

8 key flute by George French

I am selling a R&R style flute from the 1850's, George French used to make flutes for R&R but then struck out on his own. The keywork is Nickel "German Silver" and the castings were not very good, he probably didn't have much start up capitol when he started making them, similar to...
