What could be better then a new flute

Well how about an old flute made new. Hi you all. Haven`t had time to check in in a while and besides I don`t have a phone so my internet time is all but gone. Moved my traveling condo to another ranch and am busy breaking colts. What a trip. Never thought I would be doing this. Anyway I just got tw...

Thanks Jonathan; very interesting. The makers mark on my flute does not have the name Barnett Samuel included. I don`t have the flute at hand right now as I sent it to Jon C a flute maker down in LA LA land to measure and I also sent my sketch of the makers mark with it. Very nice flute and a daily ...

I play a Barnett Samuel single key flute made of cocus and was doing some google work about it and found they got into whistles. Thanks for the photo. Same makers mark on my flute. He went down to Australia around 1870 or so to peddle some flutes. Thats where I found mine. Wounderful instrument. I w...

I don`t know about pretty good, I found mine to be a very good flute for the money. I don`t recall having to do anything much different with my embouchure then I would for any other of my flutes. Don`t know what Fred charges now but he does good work.
Just my pennys worth FWIW

Sounds like my kinda place Ming, and I sure do still have Aquila. Like I said before, that flute is a keeper. Hopefully I`ll have some time later on to get over that way. Might even ride the old Beemer over just to garentee it rains :)

Oh man James that is the picture I had in my head when I went. It could have been an off night or something I don`t know. I was too pooped and sore to even ask the guitar player any questions. Next time I go I will find out more.

I hear you Susan, believe me. But the body I`ve got just doesn`t suit me if you know what I mean. 10 years ago when I fought in my last ternament I was trying to be the oldest qualifier for the nationals where the American Olympic tei kon do team would be choosen. Not that I would go to the national...

Well as it turned out I had an outragesly early appointment in the big city on Wed. so I decided to go into town and visit my brother and stay at his place the night so...

Oh boy :) I`ve never played one of Tonys` whistles, though I have two of his flutes, one in rosewood and his 3 piece poly flute, both very good instruments. I`m looking forward to checking out this whistle. What did you think about it Jim?

What a great radio station Peter. I sat this mourning listing to the likes of Frankie Kennedy some cuts off of Loosin Air and all kinds of great tunes and it doesn`t require that spyware extravagansa to listen. Thanks for the link.

Well I don`t know how much longer flute talk will be tolerated on the whistle forum so I wanted to get my two cents worth in before this part of the thread self distroucts :) I have a flute made of, not concrete, but of clay or porcelin or some such material and have had it for a couple of years. It...
