Congrats, No E. While we're on the subject, did I miss something regarding the archive not getting newer issues?

Re: Animals and piping

My Muttweiler insists on trying to sing along any time I put on the set. Unfortunately, he's always just a bit flat.

Re: New member and a question

Usually, there is some sort of interface on both ends of the tube between bellows and bag. Look for a joint in the stock on the bag end and see if it twists. The valve should be inside there. Maker or photos would help.

Re: air escaping after retied chanter stock

perhaps the stocks on the 2 bags come out at slightly different angles? that could conceivably cause either the stock to twist a bit when the chanter is moved side to side causing a leak between stock and bag, or maybe the chanter tube doesn't seat right in the one stock and leaks there?

Looks like that's just an ad for his wares, not just for one particular set.

Re: new piper - used uillean pipe advice

You're right. The bag is lefty. However, if you look closely at this and similar sets, it looks like the switch is mounted so that the back of the switch is pinned to the plunger post in the middle of the mainstock and the middle of the switch is pinned to the hinge post., which should be at the rea...

Re: new piper - used uillean pipe advice

Definitely Pakistani, but I still think that the drone switch isn't huge on these, but installed backwards, which would also make it look like a left handed set.

Re: What note does your bass drone play without the top on?

I have "Britttonized" pakistani drones that play just sharp of g without the slide, so i'm going to try to make a short extension slide to flatten it to g for fun.

Re: Drones - Cork or Thread

Since it's too tight, you can also just sand the cork down a bit and re-grease it before resorting to stripping it all off. If you still don't like it you can still take the cork off.

Re: Key Springs

They're tiny. About 3mm diameter x 5 mm long. I'm estimating the length as they're a bit compressed even when at rest. they really do look like pen springs, but maybe a bit beefier.
