Yeah, Colomon. Impressive, eh? I taught two band classes last year, one with Brian (which was awesome-this goes without saying) and one with Gordon Belshear-Gordon and I didn't know one another nor had we met prior to teaching together that Monday! We had a great time and everything worked out quite...

I'm playing on the faculty concert Wednesday night, so no beach session for me that night for obvious reasons. Say hi to Robin for me Nico.

Moon! Maybe you could come up on the weekend, either Saturday or Sunday...it's not that far from your neck of the woods. It'd be great to get together.

My story is similiar to Wanderer's...I lived in Houston in the 80's and my earliest session experiences there were less than memorable (at that time the session rotated between the Red Lion and Keneally's). I moved to Ontario in 1988 and found a nice friendly session in Guelph. I have since moved ar...

Too weird...I've seen that set twice-first at Augusta when the previous owner brought it to Dave's room so he could take a look at it...it was an "Ohmygod" moment. I also heard Kirk Lynch playing the set as a member of Scartaglen in the '80s....

It IS a small world.....

Talk about yer Fruedian slips...when I posted the original post this morning (pre-coffee) the double entendre was purely unintentional! However, politically, we were spared from a Conservative minority/majority (huge sigh of relief here), or another Liberal majority (which we've had since 93...). In...

Canada Day

We sat outside last night around the bonfire, roasted marshallows, watched the fireworks going off at the beach and toasted the new Liberal minority government.

Hey you all, my vote is for Goderich and we meet at Liz's place! Liz, you lucky gal you, you miss all the parking fun for the weekend. BTW, I'm collecting data for my dissertation at Goderich and am looking for potential participants to interview (it will take about 30 minutes). I'm interested in kn...

I've got a D 1/2 set from Joe...I love it. Very responsive and a sweet tone, and the two chanter reeds I have from him work pretty much all of the time regardless of the weather. We do live in the same climate however. I'm very lucky-Joe's only an hour away from me. And he's one of the nicest guys a...

Is there a muscian's clinic anywhere near where you live? There are two in the area here (Toronto and Hamilton), and they take these kinds of problems very seriously... I went for a problem with my rotater cuff (related to conducting), and for a problem with my left hand fingers siezing up from upip...
