Hmmm, brains. I love Zombies. I met Tom Savini in the 80's and got him to sign my Day of the Dead poster. I have seen the latest Romero movie but it's on my list. The Max Brooks books are on my "look for at 1/2 price books" list because I'm cheap and spend too much on books as it is. There...

I took my mom to see Tim Conway and Harvey Korman do a live show a few years ago, one of the funniest shows I've seen. They did the dentist sketch as their final bit. Korman's monologue about getting old and having to pee in the middle of the night was funny then, but not so much now that I'm older....

As soon as they uttered 'singularity' I knew there was no hope. And yet I watched it to the end anyway.

You can capture the streams from tg4, but not easily. I use mplayer running under linux. You can try using VLC which is a wonderful, free media player. I was play the stream using it, I imagine the options to capture the stream to a file would wor...

I thought the Kill Bill movies were great fun, but not film classics. I'll have to disagree a bit about Jackie Brown, I thought it was fantastic. But, I'm crazy about Pam Grier so I'm a bit biased.

The last scene with Pam Grier and Robert Forster really gets to me.

I setup it up for my wife to use with friends in France and Sinapore. I bought hear a usb headset and it works fine. We thought about getting one of the adapters to connect skype to the regular phone system, but we decided it wasn't worth the expense. It's too bad her parents in India don't have bro...

I played the original SimCity for hours. I had a floppy disk with the Mac version I kept in my backpack and in between classes during college I would slip into the lounge and play for an hour or so to decompress. I'm anxiously awaiting Spore, I may even buy a new computer to pay it. Given that mine ...

I'm in the same position, my trusty 650 is getting long into the tooth. But, I can't decide what to do. The HTC phones running Windows Mobile 6 are neat, and there's an SDK out so I can write software for it, but I'd have to pay for the nice dev environment. Plus the OS doesn't look as nice as the i...

Lunar Eclipse tonight, good and bad

The good, there's a total lunar eclipse tonight at a reasonable hour plus Saturn is in the same region of the sky. The bad, it's raining like mad and the sky is completely clouded over for the next day or so. Oh well, at least Mythbusters is doing a Macgyver special tonight, so Wed isn't a total lost.

The shoulder is I think the weakest joint on your body. The humerus is just floating in the joint and is held in place by tendons and muscles. So, it's easily damaged. Mine was screwed up in a car accident with an uninsured drunk driver a few years ago. Luckily I was fixed up by a cortisone shot and...

This is big comfort dish for me, with a liberal amount of pepper applied.

I made it for my wife once, she wasn't impressed. But she did like the curry pot pie I made using Bisquick for the crust.
