Re: CP? you tell me perhaps it's anti-CP?

was that a haiku? No, there are many rules to classical haiku and 17 syllables in three lines criterion is just too simplistic to characterise true haiku. In fact, haikus are strictly speaking pretty impossible in English. I mean, just looking at the 17 syllable thing for a moment - English is not ...

Re: A New Take on C flute versus D flute

and therefore, *simple system 8 keyed D flute (with lower C# and C) is still a D flute. That is, the natural (one digit off for each successive note) fingering from low C would give you C Lydian rather than C Ionian. D major is the key for this flute because it is the only major scale scale you can ...

Bamboo is a grass......... Yes, of course its a grass. Just as a tomato is technically a fruit although functionally a vegetable for most, bamboo is technically grass but functinally a timber for most. Snake fending

I had hitchhiked to get there. I was escaping the big smoke. The big smoke used to be pretty "heavy" around Christmas time in Australia. Red neck celebrations, soppy family reunions striated with secret strife, sport, sport and more sport and hot sandy beaches perfumed by strange primate u...

I gave the first ripe passionfruit to the first virgin with Mary, Miriam or Marian (or Indian: Mariam) or variants in her name somewhere. Some of you will know that the ...

An entirely cylindrical flute won't play octaves in tune without .......... or placement of the stopper very close to the embouchure hole (and doing this requires that all the hole positions, sizes, and bore diameter be changed to compensate, so this isn't a very viable method. ..............
