My 10 month old Airedale will lay down and sleep when I start playing the whistle. I think it soozes him either that or he sleeps to shut it out. He doesn't mind my playing the piano unless it interferes with his playing out in the yard. If he wants to play instead he'll get his hard ball and throw ...

When I went home for lunch today, I relaxed my grip and found that doing scales on a regular basis is going to help me hit the holes accurately as time goes by. By relaxing as you guys suggested I had a better feel for the holes and doing scales just gives me a better feel for it as opposed to just ...

That's really good advice Mtguru, I have the same problem mostly with one hole. I think mostly with the E and before heading to work I tried your advice and it worked nicely. being a piano player I know practice practice practice will pay off as well. Just yesterday my husband commented "that s...

I have one but it was tweaked by Jerry Freeman, I like it but I prefer my tweaked generation. It's all a matter of personal taste me thinks.

What you did was you blocked self 1 from interfering with self 2. Self 1 is the voice in us that doubts, fears, restricts and self 2 is the creative potential in us. You basically cleared your mind of all the garbage and played the music that was in you. Congrats!!! Keep trying to get that feeling a...

So true. I play the piano and no matter how fast you want to go, it's best to take it slowly first.

If you learn it incorrectly the first time, it tends to stick with you and it's a pain to correct it.

I like the LOTR tune, it's very enchanting.

If that doesn't work, learn the piano, she'll be yours forever.

Iwanttotoot, may I suggest that next time you get a whistle that you can't cozy up to (i.e., can't get to sound right), instead of throwing it out, offer it to another whistler free of charge. I find that sometimes, a whistle that sounds awful in the hands of one player will sound pretty good when ...

WHOA help me

hi guys, loving this whistle journey. I play the piano and between breaks I'll do something with the whistle. It really relaxes me so much that when I go back to the piano, I feel so much more confident and relaxed. Whoa hit me big time he he he he. I thought having it for the piano was bad enough. ...

I'm concentrating on doing cuts for now. I saw them on whistletutor and they were easy, then I watched father duns, video and his are completely different. He does it so quickly barely lifting his finger. I like his better but I see I have a lot of practice to get to that standard. I imagine whistle...

I bought a high d and c and they ended up in the trash. They weren't susatos they were the ones he makes. I felt like I was blowing into a barrel and they were not in tune. I tested it against my tweaked ones and sorry but for some reason mine weren't. I should have returned them but I just chucked ...
