Is that a Cthulhu doll???? Too much! I discovered Lovecraft when I was 14 or so. I got into it so much that it felt like it was "history" rather than fiction... I still re-read the stuff once in a while. Those names... Nyarlatothep. Oooops! Did I just summon it? :boggle: Yup..I collect Lo...

Executable, but don't put an "exe" on the end of the file name or our virus protection will block it at the server.

Thanks!

You sold it to me :) and it's my favourite session whistle. Actually i put a bid on it on eBay just to help raise the price, not hoping it would end up within my price range, and i ended up getting a good deal! I'm glad you replaced it now. Yup, it's a good brand of whistle...complex tone and...

I think it's funny that I won a Silkstone Alloy, a whistle brand I used to own but sold during the Great Job Hunt. I had always wished that I had reviewed it for my website before selling it. Now I guess I can! :D I was only 4 too late to get my hands on the Tully..I've always been curious about the...

Re: Irish sessions in Dallas/Fort Worth area in June?

I will be in the D/FW area for about a week in June. I am looking for irish sessions on any day of the week, if anyone has any info. Thanks. Re: Beginner a little frustrated

Hello, I've only been playing the whistle for a couple of months, but I've reached a point where I'm a little frustrated and/or confused about something. My first whistle was a Feadog which I couldn't play very well at all in the 2nd octave. I then got a Clarke original D, a Sweetone D, and a Dixon...

I have a couple questions about some of the prizes: Do we know which version (ie: volume) the Tully is? Is it know if the Reyburns Equal or Just tempered? I know he does both. That's about all I can think of...I've calculated my odds of winning something as pretty small, but on the off chance I do, ...

What's more: even if I read this article and jump to the conclusion that "boy some of these people are snobs," it's not snobbery over technical proficiency, but snobbery over cultural identification. E.g. "you're good, but you have no Irish roots, wheras my grandfather on my mother's...

Re: how do I learn to play up to speed?

Foolish advice :D Get a midi programme like MidiNotate, or Tablature Karaoke etc. Find the tune you want as a midi, by looking at the usual sites e.g. J C Tunefinder, Wandering Whistler or by googling. Use the midi prog' sto slow down the tune until you know it or can play through without mistakes,...
