Low tech solution: I just take a breath every now and then through the whistle while I'm playing. That's right, I just suck the condensation right out. Arcane chemical treatments seem like overkill to me, seeing as how there's nothing in the whistle that wasn't in my mouth to begin with.

Ditto Energy: speed and doing service to the tune are most certainly not mutually exclusive. This is dance music. If you're playing for a feis, your reels should clock at about 112 beats per minute. If you're playing for a ceili, you could end up going a bit faster than that, depending on the dancer...
