(However, I was disappointed to find that your "Lord Piper of the Sith" photo was not included therein.)

DB, despite my best efforts to refrain from participating in this act of inhumanity, I humbly ask that you check your pm's and send me the pics.

My apologies, JES, I hope you won't think less of me! :P

Peace!

Like I said at the Atlanta Tionol... dude, you give me hope! Nice work! BTW, have you heard Paddy Keenan's sitting of "Lord MacDonald's" on the "Long Grazing Acre" CD (Track 4)? If not, you need to... it is singularly incredible! (I mention it only because you have that tune post...

I'd give a try to:

www.patricksky.com

www.daye1.com

or our very own Moderator par Carcharodon carcharias, Joseph E. Smith.

Your best bet though would be to order one from Ray Sloan directly.

A forum search will likely yield other erstwhile reedmakers.

Instead of buying this CD, wouldn't it be cheaper to tune in to C-Span?

I think that most persons (with a more critical/sensitive ear than myself) would say that the Daye Pennychanters tend to sound a bit more harsh than a traditional wooden chanter. I have yet to see the Pennychanter described as "mellow." Caveat: I haven't been listening/playing long enough ...

My bag arm and shoulder were also getting tired and sore. I just thought it was the way of things and that I would build up strength and adjust to it. However, I discovered (at the Tionol in Atlanta this past weekend) that my own reed was/is a bit hard and was way too open. David Power did some adju...

At this juncture I would like to protest on the strongest possible terms the slaughtering and skinning of the Southeast European Nauga. Such a rare and beautiful species should be protected from bands of wandering rogue pipers looking for hides to tan and sew into pipe bags. Sincerely, Reepicheep Pr...

I have a Daye half set and the drones impress me as having a good tone and balance between the three drones. I would say that they have "ball$." But as these are the only Uilleann drones I have owned, I have no frame of reference for comparison. By "extremely loud" do you mean wi...

Since this was my first Tionol, I must admit I was bit overwhelmed. The information I received from Patrick Hutchinson and David Power nearly overloaded my circuits, :boggle: but it was well worth it. My thanks to Gary and the SEUPC for organizing this event. I'm already looking forward to next year...

I will be in attendance. Won't be able to leave here (Burlington, NC) until 2pm or so. That's gonna put me in Etlannah in the neighborhood of 9pm. I'll make a brief appearance at the H&D then likely settle in at the Courtyard for the nite.

Looking forward to meeting you folks!

I think this has been up before, the yare readily available at Custy's for average prices. Amazon UK has them going at £11.99-£14. Maybe you should put a bit more effort in looking for them. Not sure why I deserve the snarky response. I was asking why these cd's are appearing (at least on the USA s...
