I have tried it. Works great.

And you can use the same Black Top on a Generation C body. Which is as good a C whistle as you can find for under $60.

Good luck!

This view would have been my own a few years ago. Found it very frustrating! Then I joined a session or two. Then I joined a band. Now I've only been playing since 2001. Some of these people have played for 50+ years. Since they were little kids!!! And they are fantastic at what they do. Honestly. N...

I will only play it durring the day where as most of the things around here do there fighting and carrying on at night :x We are in a basement apartment with just one close neighbour living right above us and she is nice. She does not hear my Mothers bicycle horn at night so I should be OK. " ...

Same here. Seen photos, but have not had my hands on anything yet. I have been in touch with Peter and like all of us, he has other things going on in his life that tend to interfere with what he really wants to be doing. He is working on that new design though whenever he can. From what I do know a...

Agreed. The Sweetheart is a very good whistle, on par with all the rest you mentioned.
If your money is eating a hole in your pocket, get a matching C whistle. I remember playing one at the Northeast Whistle Gathering and that is one of the best whistles I've ever played.

Are these made out of Hudson, NY? If only! Nope, Peter is in a little place called Cold Spring, NY, south of Fishkill. He does welcome visitors, but for unfriendly types, he has killer guard dogs, several machine gun nests mounted high on the fortress walls. And hungry alligators populate the moat....

Re: Clare Whistles

IMO it is the best untweaked cheapie I have played (not that I have played them all yet.) I would certainly agree. Of all the cheaper priced whistles, this, IMO is one of the best. Be sure to check the fipple for stray pieces of plastic. And if you really want to hear a great whistle, put a Hoover ...

Re: ''Off to Claiforina""

I want to play! Me too! You used 'of' twice in the second paragraph before the word quality. There is not an aposthrophy in camaraderies. And it is spelled "apostrophe" not "aposthrophy." That was fun. :D :D :D So true. Oh yeah, well, you...you...you use too many smiley faces. Y...
