Marco Pollier has a CD out called Ebony and Brass.

I have to admit to watching (with my son ) and recording one episode with pipes.

The musicians listed appears to be a standard list used on all episodes.

It's a Canadian production if that is any clue.

I've just measured one and it's 18 1/4 inches or 463.6mm

I do not know if that is typical or not, more experienced people may be able to tell you that.

My humble opinion would be to try some gentle strengthening exercises and see what happens over a week or two.

If your playing gets worse then you can stop with minimal detrimental effects.

If you improve, you may have found an area in which you needed some development.
