I have seen mention several times of old-time makers fashioning reamers from socket bayonets. Probably done with a hand file.

Any modern city is wide open to communications interuption. If terrorists wanted to wreak havoc they would go directly at the switching centres, not just a few cables in a field. There is all sorts of alternate routing built into these networks - to a point - but no-one wants to pay beyond that poin...

If it isn't bothering the cat then it needn't worry you. But if you see it is galling the cat, then you can take a wash cloth soaked in warm water and wipe the area down for him.

Cats do not generally take well to immersion.

Never been. I've been to the rest of the Maritimes, even to Maine twice, but not out to the Rock. The weather is a bit more .... intense there. It can cost a bit more, so I'm told. All kinds of every music there. Very nice people. I would fly, as it's faster than boat. Best bet would be to go there ...

Many professional musicians will actually purchase a seat for their instrument. I don't know if pipers can afford to do that, but many guitarists do.
