I make Uilleann pipes, and the appropriate reamers too, I'm aware of the importance of the tiny humps and bumps in a bore. I kinda remember reading that some makers of the Pratten style flute used a straight taper in most of the bore. I mean from the head joint to the foot joint. Could this be true?...
