Re: WESTCOAST TIONÓL - Feb 2010 Seattle

The tune Tom Creegan used in his class was the "The Famous Ballymote"...from Kathleen Cavanagh. Thanks Kathleen!! Hope your pipe repairs work well!

* edited because I misread the tune name in her email

Anyone know what David Quinn uses for blow pipe material? I saw Tom Klein's set at the Seattle tionol and it looks like surgical tubing. Anyone know for sure? Its flexible, doesn't stain your clothes like a black rubber hose.

Re: Fiddle pickup

Sorry guys, Haven't looked here in a while. I did buy a fishman pickup that slips into the crevice in the bridge. Its a bit on the hot side so you need to run it into an equalizer. Other than that it does what I needed it to do, make my fiddle loud against a rock and roll strat. I did look at the vo...

Re: Do you soak your oatmeal?

I use a small slow cooker to cook mine. I set a timer to turn on the cooker around 4AM and I pre-load 1/4 cup of steel cut oats and 1 cup of water in the cooker the night before. I have it set to turn off around 6. By the time I'm done with morning things, I have a nice bowl of porridge around 6:3I ...
