Re: Thought for the day...

Yikes. And there is a row of strip clubs in my town. If we're going to ruin imagery for as many people as possible, how's this: I've yet to meet the stripper who isn't a foster kid or whose kids aren't in foster care. Due to your line of work, this doesn't surprise me. I know strippers who are chil...

Re: A Moral Decision Regarding Food

The "while nations starve" was edited in especially to soften the blow, and make my look more human. :)

legal question

If an employer pays you $40,000 instead of $400, and the mistake is entirely their fault, and they acknowledge that and ask for it back, is there anything under the law that says you must pay them back? In Kentucky specifically. I know the ethical thing is to give it back. And I am giving it back (i...

Re: A Moral Decision Regarding Food

The only moral issue most Americans should have with food is that they (we) eat way too much. We're literally hogging it down while entire nations starve.

Re: Atlas Shrugged (and its author) see resurgence

By the way, I also take RuPaul seriously. As seriously as she wants herself to be taken. :P

She has a new album out, by the way. She's one of the few drag queens who sings her own music (she doesn't lip synch..and she has a decent voice, believe it or not). :)

Re: Atlas Shrugged (and its author) see resurgence

I take Rand and her ideas very seriously. But I have elaborated on her philosophy, novels, and influence many many times in the past. I figured this thread could be just a reminder of her continuing influence, since the CNN story was published.

Re: Atlas Shrugged (and its author) see resurgence

As a side note, (or maybe it's the main topic now?) I read once that men typically have leaner, longer legs than women. It has to do with men being hunters and women being gatherers or something. Anyway, I present RuPaul http://jaynir.files.wordpress.com/2008/10/04.jpg If I had legs like that, I'd w...

Re: Atlas Shrugged (and its author) see resurgence

I also have very long legs. As a child, my parents and siblings taunted me as "the ostrich," which I now find funny. But it does make some situations difficult, like getting in a car. :P

Re: Atlas Shrugged (and its author) see resurgence

Why do all retro people look like that? Did the same person draw every one all around the world?
