you can screw down the washer, but from what you've described and my own experience I'd say don't fool with the switch...it's not likely the cause...

okay...went I went leak hunting this is what I did: after sealing the bag and bellows and connection, i could detect no leak in the practice set portion of it. i removed each of the regs (and their reeds) and blew into them to see if there was air leaking. you're all right on all counts...the whole thing is pakistani except the chanter, which is a childress. he was great and gave me all the measurements. (the urdu thing was funny tho) once upon a time i tried taking my own measurements withtout disassembling my reeds...needless to say, i didn't get an...

chanter reed measurements

Hello, I'm wondering if it's considered poor form to ask your chanter's maker for the reed and staple measurements he uses so I can make my own (or at least try to).

What would be the advantage of molded synthetic chanters over wooden chanters Repeatable chanter design with minimum time to market. Sound can be a bit harsh compared to wood. I would expect a savings if I were buying a plastic chanter, and perhaps that is the niche the plastic chanters could fill....
