No problem... All you have to do is just click on the "enlarged version" below the mini-media player. When it starts playing it opens a new window, a nifty looking large player, and then gives you track, title, and artist info while it's playing. :D

Take care,
John

... But I don't understand how it can be adjusted -- for just that one note, .... Actually, as Glauber said... if the offer was made I would go ahead and send it in because in fact, believe it or not, a whistle can be adjusted for just about anything. Think about how many of those (quite good) twea...

I dunno, it is a good point, because that's a large grey area. In my 'quest' There was a lot of fine tuning in the hole placement versus the wall thickness / density of material / natural resonance once you've broken the tube with a tuning slide, then after all that's said and done, a complete overh...

We had a gentleman sit in at the hoolie just a couple of weeks ago in fact that brought a Sindt and a Silkstone with him and he and I swapped out playing whistles all night long and I have to say I liked both whistles for different reasons all around. As far as the Silkstone goes specifically, I tho...

This is true.... Ah, so many facets to such a seemingly simple little thing. :D And then you would have to have the subset of the Bob Ross memorial "Happy Accident" designers, wherin designers are responsible for implementing designs that are completely stumbled upon by accident and should...

I don't want to give exact timelines, but I'm definately going to get the shop up and ready in time for Christmas you can bet on that! I obviously don't want to miss out on the opportunity. I'm figuring on it taking me the next couple of weeks to get all of my fixtures and stops all made up in the n...

While supplies last...

They're almost gone already so I guess it's sort of a closing point, but I thought I'd let you all know I have (at this very second I'm typing anyway) 12 High D whistles left. In the meantime, I'm getting all my other key whistle stops and setups put together in the new shop. Take care all, John www...

I think that whether or not you make a whistle for yourself or for profit... if you make a whistle with your own hands, materials you've collected, whatever design or concept you've come up with or are going off of, and your own desire to do so, then you're a whistle maker. However, I think the comm...

I have to say both "schools" are useful for different things. I use both a lot. I think that using air to carry long notes in some places during slow aires sounds right where fingering doesn't at times and then again fingering sounds right where using air vibrato wouldn't I think both fit ...

It is kind of funny when you think about it... there are so many different tunes that sound great and are often played on the whistle that are associated with the ocean, Countless films produced that have any sort of voyage on the ocean as their main theme (Titanic, pirate films or otherwise) seem t...

I fought myself to death with this and one day it just all came together when I did the following.... I threw away keeping up and focused on what was happening in the tune itself. I can only play by ear and have no concept of readin sheet music beyond "let's see.. every good boy does... ok that...

It has a lot to do with the materials and mouthpiece design.... a particular material and wall thickess may work fantastic at one range or length, however the longer / shorter you get, the less / overly, voiced / responsive you get. Perfect example: I use a rather thick walled aluminum (not rediculo...

I can say with certainty that copyrights cover across the board, and that more than just one single solitary note has to be changed... I don't remember what the exact terminology was, but you can go look it up on the web. That's like I have a song I wrote that I wrote and copyrighted (technically th...
