And if you are actually interested in seeing the video for this (which is even scarier than the song... believe it or not): http://homepage.mac.com/evanbaumgardner ... ater6.html

I'm hardly an expert on whistles, so I'm sure my opinion can be seen as strange to more experianced whistlers, but I'm quite fond of my little Acorn D whistle. It's required less tweaking than my Gen. C and my An Seisiun D, and it has a stronger sound than my Clarke. I can also get more of a range o...

Re: It's not how many you've got but the stories behind them
For instance, I still have my original Feadog from 15 some odd years ago. The holes are completely worn out from being played for hours and hours at a time, well until my fingers were tarnished black. And there's just the slightest bend, along with a dent, in the middle of it; from an unfortunate f...

Thank you all so much for your help. I got it back so that it plays about as well as it did when I first bought it. There are still a few rough notes (2nd octave D and E for instance... I can never get those to sound good on either of my whistles, though). Still, notes are coming out, so I'm happy f...

Did I kill it?
Okay, I was playing around with the fipple of my Gen. C trying to make it sound halfway decent toward the second octave. Appearantly I got a little overzealous in whatever the heck I was playing with at the time, because now its even worse than before. The notes are really airy and quiet (it kinda s...

Oh the desire to print this thread off and show it to the people who made fun of me when I bought whistle #2 is so strong! 'Course, then they'll make fun of me for going to a messageboard about whistles . Anyways, I've only been whistling since July 2ish... plus I'm an unemployed college stude...
