EBAY Aebi Bb in blackwood.
I've ordered this flute directly form Thomas Aebi. It's build in august 2008 and it's about the closest fingering for a Bb you can find. I really like this flute, love the sound, but it doesn't get enough playing time. The flute's in blackwood, with cocobolo rings. It has been well oiled and humidif...

Sorry about the spam, i edited my last post and used image shack instead of image avenue. There are samples on your man's website about his tutorial. If you check out the link below, there's a free tune on DVD where he plays flute. http://www.whistle-flute.com/?Flute:Tunes:Beginners If this is still...

Re: flute lessons on dvd?
This tutorial has it all, it even teaches you how to learn sheet music. There's videos, exercises on ornamentations, mp3 files, the whole bunch. The digital version is very cheap and the book is on it too in digital format. If you want the book separate, you'll have to pay extra. http://img184.image...

It's very simple, if it's not good for your flute, it's not good for your face either.

I've a friend wants to try keyboard.
but she's worried her fingers are too short.
wouldn't she be better of with another instument ?
Like
-whistle
-mandolin
-button accordion
-what else ?
maybe a special keyboard for shortish fingers ?
She really loves keyboards.
Any help is much appriciated!

Re: Easiest simple flute to play?
Flute is an easy instrument, if you don't agree, try fiddle and pipes first
There's some hard to play flutes out there, but not too many.
So don't worry, if you can blow a few notes when you pick up a flute,
you'll get the hang of it. And like with every instument, you need to practice daily.

I'm a flautist myself and i'd recommend a sweetheart WD in delrin,
i believe conical whistles are more ergonomic.

Re: tune book with ornamentation
I'd recommend June Mc Cormack's flute tutor.
After a while, you won't need your ornamentation
written out anymore.
