Typical C&F discussion. Some folks wish to share there accomplishments out of a natural sense of pride. Some ask questions out of curiosity. Some prefer to run around with sharp pointy sticks, proding and judging. I think the original post was interesting and informative. After reading it, I too...

Yes, Cranberry, Vietnamese is a tonal language and can be real tricky. Based on tone alone a word can have six different meanings. Based on tone and context (placement in a sentence) a simple three letter word can have up to 17 meanings. (according to our research in the language course I took.) Vie...

Wow! Its really interesting how this works. I log onto this board and read an ongoing string of statements. In my misguided belief that this is an open discussion, I post a simple statement that indicates I don't agree with some of the views but do not include any of my basis for disagreement. Then ...

Now that the hearts are bleeding and the slobber is flying, I'll go back to the things that originally brought me to C&F - Good tunes and worthwhile information.

I guess all these complaints are so one way because it's so dificult to file a complaint after you've had you head chopped off, or your body set on fire, or been drug through the streets behind a pick-up.

Extended periods of whistle playing has caused some numbness between my cheeks! (Sorry, sometimes its hard not to respond) Ah yes, the infamous poison oaks. If you sit here reading long enough, all of the collected wisdom from previous C&F posts will be paraded past you again. And that's a good ...

I'm a little fuzzy about a bunch of the stuff in the middle but based on the examples provided, I'm very clear about the 'bad manners' thing. As I also recall, way back at the start, there was an awfully good review. I applaud your efforts and respect your oppinions Mr B. I'd also like to say 'Hi' t...

Meeting C&Fer's isn't all that tough, unless you have a serious location problem. For the past several years a couple of us have announcerd a time and place to meet during the Milwaukee Irish Fest (August 18-21 this year) and been amazed at who shows up. Sometimes some of the performers even dro...

I remember some of WWII and all of the post war era. I don't remember any shool busses green or otherwise. We walked about a mile and a half to school, no busses there. They didn't have any programed snow days either. I do remember lots of green war surplus busses, truck, jeeps, and other stuff from...

Faintly, barely audible on the western wind, the lonesome sound of a single whistle, echoing off the cold political barriers . . .

Anna, where have you been, (I know geographically in Deadwood), but all this time? Will we hear at least a little of The Rest of the Story?

Welcome back!!
