How good does one have to be to attend the intermediate workshop? ie: would a beginner benefit?

I'm just beginning whistle while beginning retirement. Since the transition from Susaphone to tin whistle isn't all that logical, I've been using published tutorials and consulting the usual web tutorials. Making pretty fair progress too. My question - is anyone teaching whistle in the Memphis Area?...

OK, I am still begining to start to commence and about as serious as I am able to get about anything. I'm doing the on-line bit. But I have to ask the basic and obvious question; 'Anyone teaching in the Memphis area?'

I'm pretty new myself and haven't really gone public but I sure like the idea of just playing someplace in public like a park or doorstep. A few days ago I was playing in the car while waiting on my better half and got a few strange looks but mostly smiles. Felt real good!

I guess it will take an old Tuba player a day or two longer huh!
