whistle stand

For those of you who like the looks of this whistle stand but think it a little pricey, check out the stands at Parks Whistles http://www.parkswhistles.com/ They look very similar and are much less expensive. I do like the whistle stand shown in this thread very much but it is a bit out of my price ...

Luck, Luck, and more Luck. Just imagine the beautiful work you could turn out on a computer controlled lathe. It would be infinitely repeatable with total accuracy. If you were able to give your brother-in-law the whistle specs and he is well aquainted with using that equipment, he could knock out s...

I would love to play one like that. I half-hole all the time and I love to slur up and down to notes. I came to the whistle after playing flute for over 30 yrs and often play the whistle like an open holed flute. Every now and then I play a little jazzy and even a little bit like Jethro Tull. I have...

Becker Whistle

Right now a low D whistle from James Becker is $12.00. I bought an A whistle a couple of weeks ago and it is a very good whistle. I also have a Whstlesmith A whistle that was about $40.00 and although the Becker whistle is non-tunable it plays as well.

While you guys were arguing the finer points of whistles I ordered and received an A whistle from Becker and it is superb. It doesn't sound like a metal whistle but it itsn't metal. The finger spacings are like a Generation Bb and it plays and sounds good. I have a Whistlesmith A that I like and I t...

Jessie, I still have the Greewood whistle that I bought from you a couple of years ago and I consider it to be my best whistle. I hope you can get your new home without a mortgage. I am semi-retired and still have my payments to deal with. Good luck.

FS BURKE DBSBT - SOLD

I really don't want to do this but I must buy a new guitar. I am selling my beloved Burke DBSBT session whistle. I ordered it at the end of 2007 and received it in January of this year. It has been played less than two hours total. I am asking $150.00 plus shipping. It comes in a black padded bag wi...
