There are Scientists, and then there are 'scientists'. I'd be hard pressed to trust those trying to sell me something that went entirely against nature's designs. Science is, after all, the ongoing study of why nature is what nature is, and almost always proves that our efforts to thwart nature end ...

Usually, the basic chords will relate to the 1, 4, and 5 in the scale.
In the key of D, for example, the scale is 1=D,2=E,3=F#,4=G,5=A,6=B,7=C#,8=D, so the usual chords would be D,G and A.
Key of G= GABCDEF#G, so chords are G,C and D.

... or I could be missing your point, altogether.

We have a couple of big Rites of Spring. First is the sudden massing of birds of all description in a raucous ruckus, which happend early in the morning three days ago, and second is the waking of the Peepers, which occurred day before yesterday. Kids and Hubby heard them but I slept through both .....

Everybody and everything in my family better behave this year! I do NOT want to miss this again!

Back to the original post question, and assuming you, like me, are not in the position to do the exceptionally attractive 'Both!' choice, I vote 'Goldie!'. I had the same dilemma, and have not regretted my decision for one second.
